Chapter 14 - Night Time Teaser

“Edward?” I can feel Bella’s eye’s on me, waiting for an explanation that I can’t really give her. The vice grip around my heart intensifies as I turn toward her frowning face.

“We need to leave Forks,” I state plainly.

“What? Why?” Bella asks confused.

“My father needs us for a job.”

“But...when?”

“Now, Bella, we’re leaving now.” The loss and confusion on her face is evident as I step towards her. “We’ll be back, I promise.”

“Okay,” Bella says, nodding her head slightly.

“I’d like to ask one favor though,” I say, reaching out and touching her cheek with the back of my hand. “Don’t go home. Stay with Carlisle until we can come back and deal with Jake.”

“I...okay... yes, fine, I will,” she answers, looking up at me with her dark eyes. The way she’s looking at me I can sense a feeling of withdrawal, seeing her eyes glaze over with doubt.

As she closes her eyelids I lean forward, placing a kiss on her forehead and, without hesitation, I turn around, walking away from her.

I hear Jasper say goodbye to Bella and Alice but I don’t look up. I just turn the ignition and shout at him, “Come on Jasper, we’ve got to go!”

Jasper has hardly slammed the door closed before I push my foot down on to the accelerator and speed away from Bella before I’m unable to leave her at all.

Getting there

My first Beta has returned the next chapter to me saying that she loved it completely and utterly. I have sent it off to my second Beta hoping she loves it just as much. At this stage it looks like you may get an update by the end of the week.

Bribery is complete acceptable though....

Good News

Hi there honeys

So the good news is that Ive written about 2 pages of the next chapter but unfortunately that doesn't mean I'm going to post though. I do promise that I am slowly making my way towards posting and hopefully my muse and my new born baby will be good to me and allow me to write and post sooner rather than later.

I am so sorry for the lengthy delay but hell what can i say having a new born takes up way to much of my time and I think he should be coming forts for the moment, don't you?

But if you are dying to read something written by moi, please go read my collab Dripping Red, its under the Author name PunkfoxAngel. The link can also be found in my ffn profile.

Distractions

I thought I'd pop in real quick just to let everyone know that I have not abandoned SotN. I'm just finding it hard to make the time to write the next chapter due to a few distractions. The biggst fo these distractions is the birth of my second child. I've forgotten how much time newborns take up and how little sleep one gets. Another distraction is that i have just discovered the Black Dagger series, so when i have time, i read.

Please hang in there and bear with me I promise the next chapter will be posted soon enough. I have it planned and the song has been chosen - the song is Death by White Lies. Go blip it.

Chapter 12 - Fall Asleep Teaser

I pull the car over and turn it off and before Bella can turn to get out of the car, I place my hand around her arm, making her look up at me. She’s biting into her bottom lip, looking fragile and nervous.
“We don’t have to do this if you don’t want to, Bella,” I say, offering her an out but hoping she doesn’t take it. I want to find a way to free Bella from the punishment she has been inflicting on herself and by Jake.
“No,” she sighs, letting air out of her lungs slowly as if she’s been keeping it in too long. “I know, but I want to. I need to face my demons or, more precisely, my ghosts,” she says with a smile.
She turns her body to me and leans closer, whispering, “As long as you’re with me this doesn’t seem as difficult.”
“I’m with you all the way, baby,” I say, leaning the rest of the way to kiss her on the lips.
I run my tongue across her bottom lip gently requesting entrance, my heart rate already increasing at the prospect of tasting her. She leans in to me and snakes her fingers into the hair at the nape of my neck and pulls me in for a deep, all-consuming kiss which sends fire all the way to my cock.
As she leans in that little bit closer to me, she bumps my broken arm, making me pull back abruptly.
“Oh shit, sorry,” Bella says apologetically. “This car… does things to me.”
“And here I was hoping it was me,” I tease, making her blush.
“The combination of you and this car,” she says looking mischievously devilish. “We are so going to have to test out the space confines of this car the second your arm is better.”
The image of a naked Bella straddling me in the front seat of the Impala almost proves too much and I grab her with my one good hand to crash my lips to hers, “You can count on it.”
She moans at my words, pulls back a little and smiles at me knowingly. “I guess we better get out before we get stuck in here for the rest of the day.”
“I guess so,” I say as I reluctantly turn to get out of the Impala, adjusting my now titanium-hard cock, hoping for some relief.
A couple of yards away there is a clearing in the trees which Bella starts walking towards. She turns to me and says, “You coming?”
Just about; yes,  I think as I start following her down the narrow, tree-lined path.

Chapter 11 - Before Daylight Teaser

The pain courses through my body as I am pulled down the first few stairs and my head hits the edges. The pain shocks me out of my somewhat dream state . I wrap my arms around my head trying to protect myself as much as I can, the sharp edges of the stairs digging into my back. The cold fingers press into my ankle even harder and feel like they’re cutting into my skin. I can feel the makings of pins and needles in my foot as its grasp cuts off the blood flow to my toes.
“Stop, please!” I beg as we reach the landing. The cold of the tiled floor is almost soothing against my assaulted, bruised skin. “Please, please, please, don’t do this.”
For a second it seems like everything has come to an end when my ankle begins to lower and the grip eases. Then the pressure increases again and I am dragged towards the stairs leading to the basement. Splinters from the wooden stairs cut into my back like stainless steels nails as my body continues to be pulled further into the darkness below.
Oh God.
The basement floor feels cold and damp against my naked, broken skin for only a few seconds when my body is lifted off the ground and I am thrown against a box. It’s the box I placed here yesterday, hiding the Ouija board. As I fall to the ground the contents of the box spill over me and Edward jumps down the last few stairs. His jeans barely on, one arm held tight against his body and his other holding his shotgun very awkwardly. I wonder why he isn’t using both hands.
“Bella?” Edward calls; the panic in his voice is laced with pain.
“I’m he-,” I start. But before I’m able to reply, to let him know that I am okay, his body is once again flung through the air like a rag doll. He is pressed against the wall, the shotgun falling to the ground with a loud clang. His head violently hits the wall behind him as if someone has deliberately knocked him against it, wanting to inflict damage. With one hand Edward grabs at his throat and I realize that he’s unable to breathe. He’s being strangled, legs kicking at thin air, hand grabbing at fingers that aren’t there. The color is draining from his face and his eyes start rolling back into his head.

A muse lost

I deleted almost two pages of the next chapter of SotN. No not by accident, but deliberately. It was utter crap. I'm staring at the little cursor blinking at me calling out to me to write the next chapter, but well it seems liek I've lost my muse a little. I wonder if Echo (tht's what I call her) is off having fun with someone else because the next chapter took so much out of her... damn , I hope she returns real soon.

I'm open to suggetions... help?

Chapter 10 - Starlit Nights Teaser

“Where you going, dude?” Emmett asks as I open the front door to leave.
“Out,” I say abruptly.
“When will you be back, dude?” Emmett asks unaffected by my outburst.
“Later,” I reply and close the door behind me.
I’m in a foul mood. After my shower I had a very restless short nap and kept thinking about my conversations with Carlisle and Jasper. I’ve been trying my hardest to ignore this compulsion to check on Bella, to check that she’s okay, but the thought of something sinister going on finally makes me give up and decide to check on her. I did tell Carlisle that I would, so I’m doing it for him; or so I tell myself.
I decide to park a few blocks away, not wanting Bella, or Charlie for that matter, to hear the rumbling sound of the Impala and notify them of my presence. I grab a sawed off shotgun from the trunk and jog the short distance to the house to hide in the nearby, bordering forest where I can see Bella’s bedroom window.
Her bedroom light is on, shining like a beacon to a lost sailor. Everything looks normal, everything feels normal and the EMF is dead, not even a hundredth of an inch of movement, which is actually very strange. Usually the EMF will pick up some residual energy from spirits passing through or friendly family ghosts in neighboring areas, but nothing. It looks like it’s broken, but I know it’s not. We keep our equipment in pristine condition because we can’t afford something breaking at the wrong time. It’s like there is a bubble of inactivity surrounding the house.
Just as I’m about to do a circuit of the house to check the surrounding forest I see Bella in her window, brushing her hair. She looks sad, lost in thought, like Rapunzel trapped in her tower. I long to run my fingers though her dark tresses and kiss her pomegranate lips but I have not heard the words uttered by the witch, giving me the key  I need to climb up the tower and meet the fair maiden.
Bella disappears from my view and shortly thereafter her light goes out. She’s probably gone to sleep and I start checking the surroundings. I find nothing but trees, ferns and nocturnal creatures of the forest and return to the original spot where I can see her bedroom window. Just after two in the morning I hear Bella scream and almost start running towards the house when I see her light turn on. This must be her normal routine; nightmares must be interrupting her sleep.
I hang around until dawn, then crawl back to the Cullen house where I pass out from exhaustion.
